Join Quarticle at FOSS4G 2023 as we sponsor a community of innovation

11 April, 2023

Mark your calendars! This year, between June 26th and July 2nd, the Quarticle team is sponsoring and speaking at FOSS4G, the international annual gathering of location enthusiasts and the largest global gathering for geospatial software. Will we see you there?

The 2023 edition of FOSS4G held in Prizren, Kosovo, covers a variety of topics including:

  • geospatial data structures, manipulation and visualization of geospatial data, data collection and sharing, data science, open data, data exploitation platforms, remote sensing

  • new trends in IoT, indoor mapping, drones, artificial intelligence including machine learning, deep learning, and much more.

Quarticle is committed to open source communities and is an active contributor to the development and maintenance of open source geospatial software. This is why, in addition to attending, we are also supporting FOSS4G 2023 as bronze sponsors.

Visit our stand and let’s discuss about open source tech (at Quarticle we use open source technology like Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, QGIS, GDAL, GRASS, Postgres, Angular), our geospatial solutions (Qarta and Graph), geoinformatics and Fintech, as well as the many ways we can build a better future, together.

In addition, our own Francesca Dragut, (GIS developer) will be delivering a talk on developing a graph-based geointelligence engine, with a business geointelligence use case.

"I am excited to share what I’ve been working on in the past few months. I’ve developed this engine and the use case as part of my Bachelor's thesis. It really is an honor to already present my first serious piece of work at such an important conference like FOSS4G.

I will present the architecture of the graph-based geointelligence engine, which can be used on a variety of relational datasets. I will also present the business geointelligence use case, focusing on its value in both business and research. Throughout my presentation, I will discuss the open-source technologies involved in building this complex system and how each of them contributes to the larger picture.

Last year, while attending the FOSS4G in Florence, I was absorbing every piece of information, not even imagining I myself would present the following year. But this is nothing new at Quarticle, we support everyone to get out of their comfort zone and live to their fullest potential. So join me in Prizren and let's continue sharing our knowledge and pushing boundaries together!” (Francesca Draguț, GIS Developer)

Come see us in Kosovo at the end of June!
